unable to use macvtap driver with wireless interfaces

I'm trying to install a Centos 6.4 virtual machine on my PC, running Fedora 20 but I'm having problems with networking. I'd want to use a host device to set up the virtual network interface: so before starting the virtual machine I select the NIC, change the source device to "Host device <...>: macvtap", the device model to "virtio" and the source mode to "VEPA". The very strange thing is that the virtual machine gets a working network interface if the host device is an ethernet (enp025, formerly eth0), but if I use a wireless device (wlo1, formerly, wlan0), the virtual network interface does not work al all. I also tried to configure a bridge on the wireless interface, using the virt-manager (vers 0.10.0) but it does not seem able to distinguish between the type of the interfaces (all of them have type ethernet) and end up with an error "str object has no attribute XMLDesc". So, I'd like someone could answer these questions: 1) The macvtap can be used only with ethernet devices? 2) If not, is my wireless device (Centrino Advanced-N 6205) not supporting macvtap? 3) How to manually configure a bridge on a wireless device? 4) It is still true, that NetworkManager does not support bridging? Thanks
