How can i increase the libreoffice clipboard limit? I need to copy around 12k words and convert to table. Everytime i do that currently it sort of returns a lot of blank spaces when i exceed around 5 pages.

I wasn't aware that there was a limit imposed in this way. You're not running on a virtual machine are you, as some VM software intercepts the clipboard to allow posting between guest and host operating systems, and in the process trim the size of the clipboard to something less than usable.

You could also try saving out the list of words in text format which libreoffice can read, or cutting and pasting them in smaller blocks/chunks.

What version of Fedora / Libreoffice are you using?

I just tested this with Fedora 20 (GNOME 3) and Libreoffice Writer 4.1.4.2-5.fc20

I copied this text (approx 460 000 words) from Firefox into Libreoffice Writer without losing anything. I also copied the same text from Libreoffice writer into another Libreoffice writer document without issues.

However, as soon as i try to copy the same text into a Table in Libreoffice Writer, the application stops responding. Are you able to copy the text between documents without using tables?

@cobra: No, I'm not using a virtual machine. @ryanlerch: I'm sorry , I guess my question wasn't clear. I'm not having trouble pasting it, but when i convert the selected text to table thats where the whole issue happens! Also when i paste it, libre office gets stuck for some reason for a good amount of time. Am using fedora 20 with Libreoffice Writer 4.1.3.2-9.fc20

This one looks like it is a Bug with LibreOffice. I can re-create the issue, so i have filed a bug for this one against the libreoffice component in Fedora:
