There doesn't seem to be a complete and up to date guide on setting up solid state drives on Fedora. On top of that much of the info on ask.fedoraproject.org is a mess. I went through few TRIM related questions and it doesn't seem to me like a simple touches would solve the problem, hence my proposal.

Or at least, could anyone knowledgeable go through some questions/answers and rectify them wherever possible?

I don't know enough to review the questions and posts but to me the mess is so severe even replacing all of the TRIM related articles with references to Arch wiki would be better than the current situation.

The Fedora Sorage Aministration Guide is on hold for the moment, so this would be an ideal thing for the Fedora Cookbook. Any takers?

I saw that most of questions/answers are for EOL Fedora versions. Maybe we can close down those as outdated ?

@NikTh, only if the info in those questions is outdated or distro-specific.

@Bucic: Arch wiki is usually pretty extensive/excellent, but that doesn't mean it's always correct, in this particular case the Arch wiki article about TRIM recommends using the discard mount option, but this isn't recommended by some of the upstream Linux file system developers, instead they recommend running fstrim as a cron job.

So whatever guide is created/pointed-to has to be verified.

@Ahmad Samir Incorrect info on arch wiki is a rarity which may well be handled by a simple caveat. Whatever you decide IMO it should start by merging all not problem-specific SSD-related questions into one or by starting fresh.
