I select gnome-desktop when I install fedora20 on my virtualbox, I tested to install xfce, and I think it's good for me now I want to remove gnome-desktop to release some disk spaces. I tried the following commands but none of them successful:

yum group remove gnome-desktop
yum group remove "GNOME Desktop"
yum groupremove "GNOME Desktop"
.......

the reponse is:

Failed to set locale, defaulting to C
Loaded plugins: langpacks, refresh-packagekit
Maybe run: yum groups mark remove (see man yum)
No packages to remove from groups

who can tell me what exactly should I do to remove gnome-desktop, thanks!

The command is:

$ sudo yum remove @gnome-desktop

But be careful, it will remove a lot of dependencies too.
