I recently installed Fedora 20 only a few weeks ago, and I really don't know much of it, yet. So I had this problem of a black screen with a moving cursor only. I followed this Answer's step:

https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/43271/black-screen-with-cursor/

http://paste.fedoraproject.org/143386/37553211/ http://paste.fedoraproject.org/143387/75534914/

Still I really don't have a clue of what to do.

Thank you.

The plugin comes from a third-party repo, maintained by Google. If you're having trouble with it, ask them. That being said, neither of your logs makes any mention of it, so it's probably not an issue. Assuming that the plugin's name is google-talk-plugin, and your regular user has admin rights, you should be able to remove this via command line like this: sudo yum remove google-talk-plugin and give your password when requested. Welcome to ask.fedora, and let us know how things are going.

Well, than I really don't know what the issue is, I already erased the plugin, but still fedora won't start, thanks for responding and welcoming me, I will see what I can do before I have to format, Black screen with cursor, that's the only thing I get.

That's OK; at least we've eliminated one possibility. You can get to a text terminal, and that's better than nothing. Try this next: sudo yum -y update. Normally I don't recommend using -y, but at this stage it can't hurt. Once it's done, reboot and see if it helps. If nothing else, you'll know that you have the latest versions of everything.

Er.. please do not open duplicate questions. I just answered on the other one to see this. Please decide which you'd like to follow so that I can close the other as a duplicate.

Also, the google-talk plugin only begins to function once you have your browser open. I really don't think it should interfere with your graphics in general.

It might be best to leave the other one open and close this one, because we've established that the plugin the OP asks about isn't involved. (He's removed it and still can't boot correctly.)
