cd/dvd drive is not running ...??

i cant find the cd/dvd rom in the fedora 20 i have inserted a dvd but it is not showing in the computer and also it is not runneing so i need to know how to enable it or what to do to run the dvd....!!!

Are you running the default Gnome desktop, or something else? You may need to change some setting or other and how you do it depends on which DE you're using. Either edit your question to add the answer, or add a comment below mine. And, welcome to ask.fedora, and I hope we can help you.

Make sure that it is plugged in to the sata/ide and that it is supplied with power from the power supply.

Enable it in the BIOS. Then press F10 for save and exit.
