I run the Kindle Cloud Reader in Chrome. I can "Download & Pin Book"s. This must install the book on my computer. I think the files are .azw files. Using 'locate azw' does not show anything.

Do you know in a normal system it takes at least one day to the locate database to update?

OTOH you can use find to look for those files:

find ~/ -name "*azw"

If you're sure that they are azw files, then in your home directory, try:

find . -name "*.azw"

Check for mobi files etc. too.

locate works only once updatedb has run to update the database.
