I'm triying to install grive-0.3.0-13.3.x86_64 with grive-tools-1.10 to use Google Drive in my fresh install Fedora 21 Workstation, but i'm receiving the error:

Error: nothing provides needed by grive-0.3.0-13.3.x86_64

I look into my system:

bash-4.3$ rpm -qa boost-devel
bash-4.3$ rpm -qR boost-devel-1.55.0-8.fc21.x86_64
boost = 1.55.0-8.fc21
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
rpmlib(FileDigests) <= 4.6.0-1
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
rpmlib(PayloadIsXz) <= 5.2-1

I can't find a grive rpm prepared to work with Fedora 21.

So, how can i install the version 1.54 instead 1.55 of boost-devel? and how that can impact into my system? There is a package for grive and grive tools that work with boost-devel 1.55

You can install Grive on Fedora 21 from this copr repository.

  • enable repo sudo dnf copr enable polarbear/grive
  • install grive sudo dnf install grive (you can use yum instead)
