Hello,

which of the listed NVIDIA Driver packages do I need to install?

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driver...

$ /sbin/lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)

I already tried the first (akmod-nvidia) but it did not work. I also tried the following tutorials:

As you don't have a proper nvidia card you will need to follow different guides

I am having the exact same problem with F22, using a GF108GLM [Quadro 1000M] chipset in my Lenovo W520. I've tried both the rpmfusion and Negativo17 drivers with the same result.

I am running the laptop with Discrete graphics (Nvidia chip only), and Optimus detection disabled.

Try installing driver that you downloaded from Nvidia official site.

  1. Download the driver
  2. Boot into single user mode by appending single to the line that starts with linux in your grub menu while booting system.
  3. Install driver that you downloaded: /bin/bash /path/to/your/Nvidia.run
  4. Follow the steps required by the installer.
  5. Reboot and see if it works.

Same problem as one of the tutorials above: after install, it stops booting at some point. Image: https://ge1.me/17a06b1a150e4772b728 :(

fnkr, Thank you for the image. Despite following several how-tos using the RPM repository for nvidia drivers for F22, my boot stops at the identical place in the process. Does anyone know how to fix this?
