Canon p560. system found it loaded the drivers and seems good. when I click print the system shows the print j0b going through, even showing complete, however the printer never responds, doesn't even blink. The printer would respond if it was out of ink or paper so it does not seem to be that.

Firstly, try restarting your computer, printer and wireless router. Then check if your printer is connected to your network, Now Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer control panel. On many printers pressing the Wireless button allows direct access to printing this report. If it fails to print report you can try Lenovo Support.

There are different causes of that why start printing. A possible reason for that is empty ink cartridges, print head damaged, communication problem with the computer. If you are unable to fix the problem, then you need printer repair service to eleminate the issue.
