Hi guys,

First, configuration: I'm running a MacBook Pro with Lion. I downloaded Fedora 16's live image to my hard drive and burned the image to a standard DVD-RW. I used the stock installer on Fedora (booted from the DVD) to install the OS to a 16GB flash drive, with one ext4 and one swap partition of 8GB each. Everything worked perfectly, but at the end, the installer suddenly told m,e the bootloader had failed to install. Sure enough, on reloading, I was taken to a screen that said "welcome to GRUB!" What did I do wrong? All I need to do is to install the OS on the flash drive so I can use Fedora on any computer...

Any help would be appreciated.

# grub2-install /dev/sda

Replace sda with the flash drive. WARNING: If you install grub on the wrong drive, the OS(es) on that drive may fail to boot.
