I currently use Fedora 16 and Firefox 7.0.1. How can I update Firefox to the latest stable version (ie v8.0 at present)?

You will receive Firefox 8 as a Fedora update just like any other software. You can track the progress of the update through the Bodhi web interface.

On windows, most of my extensions were incompatible with FF 8. You might want to wait a while until the extensions are updated and then use FF8

if you can wait ....

RPM of new major version of the Mozilla Foundation browser are available in the remi repository for fedora and enterprise linux (RHEL, CentOS, ...).

yum --enablerepo=remi update firefox

Notice : this RPM is close of firefox 8 one from fedora 15/16.

This package needs xulrunner8 which install beside default one.
