I've made some changes to /etc/default/grub. How do I update grub to reflect these changes in Fedora 23?

Most answers (wiki included) seems to suggest grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg, but this does not seem to have an effect on my system. I can't find any /boot/grub2/grub.cfg file prior to running the above command, so maybe it's the incorrect path for Fedora 23.
