Installing the WordPress package without Apache

In Fedora, the wordpress package depends on the httpd (Apache) package. I intended to use nginx instead. Can I somehow install the wordpress package and get the benefits of Fedora customization and good SELinux policies without also installing httpd?

You might want to write a bug report at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/ about this. Because you correctly write that it can be used with nginx as well so I could imagine that they accept the bug report.

As you said, the Fedora version requires httpd, and looking at the spec file confirms that. This means you won't be able to install the Fedora wordpress release without also installing httpd, whether you use it or not. In your case I'd rather choose to get the original wordpress installations file and use nginx.

As @robyduck said, the Apache/httpd is hardcoded in the spec file, so there is nothing you can do about it,

But, If you don't like to do it manually, you can use Ansible to auto-deploy and setup a Wordpress, see https://github.com/ansible/ansible-ex...
