Installed gnote. I have been using it for years. This version seems to have lost its preferences and its new daily note. I am unsure whether this is a fedora 23 installation problem or a gnome 3.18.2 problem

Hi, I am GNOME 3.18.2 as well. Gnote Version 3.18.1 (latest from repository). I get access to preferences when I click on "Gnote" in the the GNOME panel.

Open the drop-down menu in the top panel (clicking over Gnote icon) and you will find the button to access the preferences dialogue.

I don't. I used to get it there as well. It may have screwed up on the download. I have added the files from my previous version but removed them too. I have removed it and re-installed to no avail.

The new Gnome bijiben is also giving me problems.

I am going to try to remove it and re-install again. There is no reason I can see why it won't work.

I got some of my preferences back but not all. Has the date insertion key been removed and the daily new note?

Oh! That panel and icon. I was searching all over the note itself for an Icon. Found it on the main panel at the top left of my computer screen. Sorry to bother people because of my failure to observe the obvious.
