How to test update for old stable Fedora

Which is the method to test an update for an older stable release of Fedora?

install the update. If it doesn't work, file a bug in bugzilla.redhat.com and downgrade again using dnf downgrade packagename. You might need to re-download old versions of your package, this link might help.

If you are doing that on a regular basis, you may want to use the keepcache option in /etc/dnf/dnf.conf. Be careful, with this option enabled, dnf will keep all old packages, eating gigabytes on your hard disk.
