On Ubuntu, i allways use Grub Customizer. Grub Customizer does not work on Fedora, even i build it via the sourcecode.

On F15, I can modify the /boot/grub2/grub.conf . Today,I installed F16, the grub.conf is empty XD

Part of kcldi's answer is missing.

As kcldi said, edit /etc/default/grub

Then, as root, run

grub2-mkconfig > /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

This finds any kernels and initrds in /boot and creates grub.cfg using the defaults in /etc/default/grub

Fedora 16 uses GRUB2 and the location of the configuration is at /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

It looks like the F16 Installation Guide isn't available yet. Maybe this will help some: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/FedoraDraftDocumentation/0.1/html/Installation_Guide/sn-medialess-editing-grub-conf.html
