When running the f24 update (from f23) i am getting a lot of conflicts like

file /usr/lib64/liba52.so.0.0.0 from install of a52dec-0.7.4-19.fc24.x86_64 conflicts with file from package a52dec-libs-0.7.4-20.fc23.x86_64
file /usr/lib64/libBasicUsageEnvironment.so.1.0.0 from install of live555-2016.05.20-1.fc24.x86_64 conflicts with file from package live555-libs-2016.07.19-1.fc23.x86_64
file /usr/lib64/libUsageEnvironment.so.3.1.0 from install of live555-2016.05.20-1.fc24.x86_64 conflicts with file from package live555-libs-2016.07.19-1.fc23.x86_64
file /usr/lib64/libgroupsock.so.8.1.0 from install of live555-2016.05.20-1.fc24.x86_64 conflicts with file from package live555-libs-2016.07.19-1.fc23.x86_64
file /usr/lib64/libliveMedia.so.52 from install of live555-2016.05.20-1.fc24.x86_64 conflicts with file from package live555-libs-2016.07.19-1.fc23.x86_64
file /usr/lib/node_modules/npm/node_modules/ansi from install of nodejs-1:4.4.7-2.fc24.x86_64 conflicts with file from package nodejs-1:4.4.7-2nodesource.fc23.x86_64

And then many more like the last one for node_modules

To update i used the following command

sudo dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=24 --allowerasing

I removed non-fedora sources (like the one i was using for node)

How should i proceed?

You can remove the conflict packages do the upgrade and reinstall them back.

for the record, I had the exact same errors - I removed node and got rid of most of the errors. then with some hunting, I found that the other packages are installed by Handbrake, the video encoding utility. Hope this saves someone else some time.
