Hi guys, I got a problem with my harddrive and bought a new one, I installed windows 8 and when everything was working for windows 8 I installed fedora 17 x64. now I get the grub loader when I boot my machine but I do not have windows 8 as an option to choose from.

I know about Microsoft secure booting but I only have a windows 8 license so please help me to solve this.

you can add windows 8 or other operating system in grub 2 by updating it (if UEFI secure boot not enabled)

first you have to disable it otherwise it's not possible (click here to see how to disable it) then follow these steps

1 - go to super mode by typing #su followed by your root password

2 - #grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

if it does not show windows 8 then try again by mounting windows 8 drive in fedora

for more details just see my video
