share desktop using webex
Using Fedora25
When employing Firefox I am able to join WebEx meetings but am unable to see or share desktops. Clicking "Share Desktop" results in nothing happening.
Using Chrome. Cannot join/start the meeting at all due to Fatal Error: Fatal:launch error: Could not launch JNLP file. The application has not been initialized.....<snip>
icedTea version= icedtea-web 1.6.2
I've seen one other question on this for an EOL version of Fedora. Is there any workaround for either browser?
Thx
Have you tried starting your desktop session on X server instead of wayland?

Hi, I'm a bit new to Linux. How would I go about starting my desktop session on X server?
Thx
Lansoar ( 2016-12-16 01:21:06 +0000 )editAfter selecting your username (clicking or typing), and before you enter your password, click on the little wheel symbol and select Gnome on Xorg, as shown (similiarly) here and here

Thx. I guess i overthinked it as I did try that solution (Gnome on X) I figured i had to do it from Terminal. :) No luck. It seems even REHL isn't supported at present for it. Too bad. In the end all I could do after a number of fiddlings was join the meeting but t he sun-applet doesn't function.....cant see presentations or share desktop in Firefox and Chrome continues to fail to initialize the JNLP file.
