After the recent alsa-lib update that I did. My sound is working fine on the system (able to play regular music and all) but when I try to play some video on youtube, I am not getting any sound whatsoever. This happened right after the update. Before that, things were just fine. What could have happened here?

I faced same problem. This was caused by installing i386 (32 bit) flash-plugin and nspluginwrapper on 64 bit system. (Firefox was 64bit)

When I replaced i386 plugins with 64 bit ones, everything was good.
