Hi there,

all FAT-formatted usb-pen-drives are mounted with the showexec mount-option. How can I change that default behavior? Is this udisks-related or udev or hal or ....

not what you asked but you can use gnome-disks to set mount options for particular devices. /etc/usdisks2 could also be useful but not sure.

I've had a similar discussion in bugzilla [1]. Basically mount options are hard-coded in udisk but if you add a device in fstab, it will mount with the options and at the mount point specified in fstab.

Too bad there is no way to override in udisks2.

I googled around a bit and ran into these:

See if they work for you?

Thank you very much. Unfortunately applying some tricks by writing udev-rules to call /bin/mount manually is not what I was looking for. It seems that there is no up-to-date documentation of udev and udisks providing the needed information on how to administer udisks.

I think the udev rules files method is for the automounting, not manual mounting.. Given it a try yet?
