This did not work. I keep receiving xrandr: Configure crtc 0 failed. By the way, for me it is XWAYLAND0 instead of VGA-1

2018-05-28 08:02:20 -0600 marked best answer How does Fedora (Linux) upgrade applications while they are in use?

From Windows days, I understand that typically an application needs to be closed before it can be updated by another (newer) version. But, when I run dnf update in Fedora, it does not seem to require applications to be closed or complain at all that they are open. So, how does Fedora (or Linux in general) update apps that are in use without closing them first?

Do you mean I should install Fedora Arm in a virtual machine and cross-compile ffmpeg there?

2018-03-29 07:26:05 -0600 asked a question errno.h not found when compiling ffmpeg

I am using the following configuration to compile ffmepg on Fedora 27.

./configure --arch=arm --target-os=android --enable-cross-compile --cross-prefix=/Android/Sdk/ndk-bundle/toolchains/arm-linux-androideabi-4.9/prebuilt/linux-x86_64/bin/arm-linux-androideabi- --sysroot=/Android/Sdk/ndk-bundle/platforms/android-27/arch-arm --enable-gpl --cpu=cortex-a8

When I run

make
I get the following error:

$ make
CC  libavdevice/alldevices.o
In file included from ./libavutil/avutil.h:296:0,
                 from ./libavutil/log.h:25,

compilation terminated.
make: *** [ffbuild/common.mak:60: libavdevice/alldevices.o] Error 1

I tried symbolic linking /usr/include/asm-generic instead of /usr/include/asm but I still get the error.

2017-12-28 09:50:51 -0600 asked a question How to Use My Fedora Laptop as A Monitor for Android TV Box

I want to connect an Android TV box to my laptop which is running Fedora 26. I want to use the laptop as display for the box. How can I do that? Currently, when I connect the device via VGA port (using an HDMI to VGA connector), the laptop (Acer E5-773) thinks that it is a second monitor. It does not know it is supposed to be an input. Is there a way I can configure the laptop display to act as display for the the TV box or both the box and the system display (splitting the display area or something?!)?
The Android device is X96, running Android 6. It has a couple of USB ports, and also IR, AV, HDMI, DC, and OPTICAL ports.
