if i remember correctly i faced this errors when i was updating to 5.10.8 too.
so after first reboot of update it took a massive 8 minutes.(it was 2 minutes before. even for hdd its long bcz it happend after upgrading to fedora 33. and i still dont know why)
what i was seeing in that 8 minute boot was this:(i get this with “systemctl status akmods.service”)
Starting Builds and install new kmods from akmod packages
then some kind of timeout happend and finnaly booted
after that first boot time of “8 minutes” it become 4. but still high.

systemd-analyze blame:
1min 19.893s firewalld.service
1min 13.936s sssd.service
 1min 3.928s akmods.service

and in past i never saw this strange and high numbers.
also after this dnf transaction there is something that i dont know about that

dnf history info last:
-y install --disablerepo=* /tmp/akmods.Q5CxXfPu/results/kmod-VirtualBox-5.10.9-201.fc33.x86_64-6.1.16-2.fc33.x86_64.rpm

Why was VirtualBox removed? And why was it a kmod?

I don’t claim to be an expert, but when you taint your kernel with mods from my experience it leads to breakage.
