Hi,
I recently installed Fedora 37 (fresh install) on a computer that is connected to my TV via HDMI.
The sound keeps cutting out every few seconds in games, in firefox and in pretty much every app I tried.
The problem does not happen when using headphones.
I also tried using a better quality HDMI cable but the problem persist.
Next step for me is trying with a DP to HDMI cable (just ordered one) to see if it might work but it would be nice to
My machine has the following configuration:
Hardware:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 6600
Memory: 16GB
OS: Fedora Linux 37 (Workstation Edition) x86_64
Kernel: 6.0.8-300.fc37.x86_64
DE: GNOME 43.1
I don’t know if this might help but I ran inxi -A
and this is the output:
Audio:
Device-1: AMD Navi 21/23 HDMI/DP Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
Device-2: AMD Starship/Matisse HD Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound API: ALSA v: k6.0.8-300.fc37.x86_64 running: yes
