Launching a terminal, file manager, or browser in gnome shell defaults to opening the window near the left edge of the screen. This causes the launcher/dock (using dash to dock extension with intelligent auto-hide enabled) to auto-hide. How can it be changed to be a bit to the right, or remember the location from the last time?
It’s a minor issue, but mildly irritates me each time.
One way would be to select “Center New Windows” in Tweaks, but it’s not exactly what I want. Another is to disable intelligent auto-hide, but I really like that feature.
