Chromium Incognito by Default

I have tried using various fixes that work in Ubuntu via alacarte or adding --incognito tags to the usr/bin or etc/ files but to no avail.

Has anybody had success on Fedora getting this feature stick?

You would need to add it to the .desktop file, which might be in /usr/share/applications

Copy /usr/share/applications/chromium-browser.desktop to ~/.local/share/applications and add --incognito flag to the relevant Exec= line. You may need to logout and log back in depending on your desktop environment.

This is a better suggestion. You might also consider renaming it so you can have a Private Mode launcher as well as the stock one.

Thank you!

I had already done this minus the ‘relevent’ exec part. I put the --incognito flag in the wrong spot.
