Fedora 32 unable to boot after kernel panic

Hello,
I had a kernel panic on my system. And it seems that somehow something got in an inconsistent state. I see on bootup that a lot of start services fail, then the system halts.
I can log in by adding “init=/bin/bash” to the boot parameters. With that I see that /var/log/boot.log starts with an attempt to analyze a core dump and “ABRT Automated bug reporting tool” fails to start.
Then firewalld succeeds to start, but networkd fails.
Wit a rescue tool I tried to reinstall all packages that fail, in the hope that some corrupted files might get overwritten, but no success.

File system is ext4, fsck.ext4 runs without any issues.

Is there any other way to save the system than reinstall and restore from backup?
