Fedora 33 mouse pointer got broken after update

Hi there.

After the last Fedora 33 update mouse pointer got broken, become “interlaced”.

journalctl -lax --no-pager --since=“2021-03-23 00:00:00” | egrep -i “cursor” | egrep -i gnome

provides nothing.

Does anybody faced the same problem and is there any workaround?

I have not seen or heard of anything like this. Can you provide more detail? What hardware are you using? Is this Fedora Workstation?

Yes, it is Fedora workstation. Desktop, Intel Core I7, 20Gb RAM, Nvidia video card. Problem occured after the last update. When installing fresh copy using Live DVD things are ok.

If you see graphical artifacts, the issue is most likely caused by your video driver and/or kernel.

Hello.

It’s a bug in the latest kernel 5.11.7-200 and affects all Nvidia Kepler architecture video adapters.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1941300

They provide a patch to solve it, but I will personally wait for the patch in the mainline kernel as user khu60048 mentions.
