Fedora 36 WI-FI problem

Your logs show that your wifi gets disabled by the wifi killswitch. Are you toggling the wifi switch on the keyboard?

BlueTooth and Wi-Fi at 2.4GHz do share the same frequency band, so interference is unavoidable. Try switching all your Wi-Fi devices to 5GHz band or use corded headphones.

That’s not a driver for @ufukcanadanir 's Wi-Fi chip, so installing it won’t help.

I don’t think so, I usually use the GUI.

This is another log. It starts with a running WiFi. Only Firefox and Terminal running.

  • After 20:12:49 I enabled geolocalization in System Settings.
  • By 20:17:00 WiFi was gone.
  • After 20:19:18 I disabled geolocalization in System Settings and switche off WiFi from the gnome sys tray
  • After 20:20:34 I reenabled WiFi from the gnome sys tray.

I have no idea whats going on but there seem to be causal relationship.

Does this happen every time you enable geolocation service? The relation seems unlikely, but I’ve seen weirder things happen.

Sooner or later, every time time geolocalization is enabled.

Worked for me to.
Linux version 5.19.8-200.fc36.x86_64
Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter
Location services wasn’t doing anything anyway - at least a brief test with Maps seemed to indicate that.

I’ve had this issue since July of 2022 and I was able to resolve it thanks to this post. I disabled the location service at the top right corner of the Gnome desktop and now my wifi works perfectly again! I was afraid it was a hardware issue, lol.

I have an onboard realtek wifi device.
