Fedora doesn't remember sound level after reboot

Hello everyone,

I’ve been happily using Fedora for a year now, but there’s a bug that’s been bugging me (pun intended) for a couple of months. So I have an Asus laptop (ux550ve) and I had to apply some tweaks to make the sound work. This worked fine, but since last year’s autumn I’ve noticed that Fedora won’t remember the sound level after a reboot. For instance, if I leave sound at 50% and then reboot, sound will be 100%. However, if I mute it, it will stay muted after a reboot.

Now, my question is, can I do something to fix it?
