A post was split to a new topic: Keeping partitions while upgrading

Ok just upgrade…
My first advice: don’t upgrade yet, if you relay heavily virtual desktop and multi-screen setup.

I’ve only seen one issue so far: my sql server won’t start. Aside from that, everything looks great!

I was running Fedora 33 in Win10 VBox v.1.6.22. After upgrading Fedora to 34 the screen gets frozen, and the UI start is not fully finished. Although, I can ssh to it.

I joined a thread on VirtualBox forum, where another person got stuck in exactly the same way, so that is not just me. However, so far there are no good pointers to what can be done (other than reinstall Fedora 33).

I guess, if you are running Fedora in VBox (maybe only on Win10 host), you should not upgrade at this point.

It looks like the problem was with VBoxSVGA. That was the only option that was working for me before. However, for F 34, this one is not working anymore. After switching to VMSVGA, everything is working fine.
