I’m looking at making some additional updates to rapid-photo-downloader for Fedora and encountered some odd behavior on the 31 Beta. Basically the application name is wrong and icon goes missing in the Switcher.
A search through the issues and didn’t yield anything, curious if anyone has encountered something similar. Is there some known mitigating steps for Gnome 34? It’s possibly related to
StartupWMClass, however it isn’t an issue on GNOME 32 (or on Arch Linux running GNOME 34). If this is a bug, seems it should be filed against GNOME itself?
Apologies on the screen capture quality, there does not seem to be a way to take screenshot whilst keeping the application switcher on-screen.
App library versions have not really changed all that much… QT and PyQT are mismatched versions in fedora 31 whereas Arch has them both at 5.13.1:
