Having Trouble Using Netflix On New Install

Hi Friends,

I am having some issue with Netflix on my new installation. Any idea what can be causing the issue or I am going wrong somewhere?

Hi,

How are you accessing Netflix with Fedora? I have no issues accessing it with Firefox.
Describe your experience.

I seem to recall after I installed recently, that I needed some non-free repositories to get full video codec compliance. Mainly the rpm-fusion repositories and installing ffmpeg. I’m working off foggy memory because I had a stay in the hospital about the same time or around the install time. But to the best of my recollection that’s what fixed the same issue I had. It also fixed an issue I had with video playing from Twitter feed.

Yes it looks like a problem of codecs if you use firefox, (in google chrome it is not a problem becouse it come with its own privative codecs) but in anyway you can install the codecs if you didnt install them before and you are using firefox in netflix, https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/assembly_installing-plugins-for-playing-movies-and-music/

If you are new in fedora take a time to read this link https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/this-is-a-list-of-commonly-asked-questions/76986

I followed the steps from here and it’s resolved now. I am guessing it was a drm issue. What do you think?

If it does work only with to enable DRM so perfect. Remeber that if you have problems with others videos with firefox it can be a problem of codecs, in case you can install them like commented before. Cool you have your netflix working!.
