How do I request driver support for a laptop?

Hi all

I’ve recently install Fedora 32 on my Lenovo Yoga Chromebook and the sound, microphone and touchscreen don’t work at all. I’ve done some research and it looks like the drivers for the hardware in this model simply aren’t supported in the kernel. I filled in a bug for the kernel here

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207509

My question is what else can I do to request that it gets supported? And how does the process of hardware getting supported work? Are there driver request pages anywhere or would it be possible to make a request as part of Fedora’s new partnership with Lenovo?

Thanks very much

Welcome to the forums.

Haven’t requested hardware compatibility myself but I guess your effort in opening a bug for the kernel was good enough.
