Kinit: Password incorrect while getting initial credentials (not yet a packager)

While trying to follows instructions (except for presenting myself to the list because… I don’t like that)… from:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers
I get to the following error:
[paul@localhost 7kaa]$ kinit -V pauld@FEDORAPROJECT.ORG
Using default cache: 1000
Using principal: pauld@FEDORAPROJECT.ORG
Password for pauld@FEDORAPROJECT.ORG:
kinit: Password incorrect while getting initial credentials
[paul@localhost 7kaa]$ man kinit

I use the same FAS password I just used to create my account here on Ask Fedora.

I signed the CLA and contributing … thing years ago… with a different SSH key than the one I created and added to my account yesterday to my FAS account. Can it be the problem?

It turned out that the problem was that the last time I changed my password on FAS was by forgotten procedure… and that way the new password is not sent to Kerberos server apparently. Changing my password in the web inteface of FAS (Fedora Account System), then using this new password for kinit have ‘fixed’ the issue for me.
