Kinoite: dnf command not working

Sorry for dragging this thread back from the grave, but it fits my problem. I am currently trying out Fedora 36 Kinoite, and tried to use dnf commands but the system did not recognise it. Below is a cutout from Konsole:

[eriq@eriq-x220 Downloads]$ dnf upgrade
bash: dnf: command not found
[eriq@eriq-x220 Downloads]$ uname -a
Linux fedora 5.17.5-300.fc36.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Apr 28 15:51:30 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Is there something I do wrong? I already 'sudo’ed earlier, so that is not the issue.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the community @pinoberget

Kinoite, Silverblue, don’t come with dnf.
Preferrably software is installed as flatpaks. Also have a look at rpm-ostree.

See a bunch of interesting articles/documentation:

Thanks a lot for the quick reply! I’m all new to Fedora, got a tip from a friend to try Kinoite out. Totally missed this basic difference from the “regular” distro. Will check your links out. Thanks again.
