MacBookPro11,5 consistently fails to wake from suspend under Fedora

Hi,

I recently began dual booting my mid-2015 15" MacBook Pro (MacBookPro11,5) with macOS Monterey and Fedora 37 Workstation. However, it always fails to wake up properly after suspension whether I lift the lid or press the power button. The screen and keyboard backlight do not light up, and it generally appears dead to the world aside for the clicking of the haptic trackpad. It never recovers and I have to hold the power button to force it to shut down to get it out of this almost comatose state.

Apparently this is a known issue with Macs, but I’ve not seen someone report it on my model. I’m also well aware that Apple’s hardware is unreliable at best with anything but macOS, so I suppose I should have expected trouble.

If there’s anything that could be done to try and fix the issue other than just disabling autosuspend and enabling hibernation, I would appreciate the help. This has thrown pretty big spanner into the works for my plans to keep using it after macOS updates end.

Thanks.
