Merging my old fedora ask account with my new fedora and ask account

Hi dear administrators,

I didn’t saw the emails about the incorrect user names and miss the deadline to modify it. Thus I just created a new fedora account and would like to merge it with the old one.
My old account was: Profile - ste_tuf - Ask Fedora
My new account is: Profile - ste-tuf - Ask Fedora
Is it also possible to add my old email adress to the new account?

Thanks a lot,
Best,
Stéphane

I don’t think FAS accounts can be merged. One needs to disable the old account and then create a new one from what I know. You’re better off filing a ticket with infra about this:

https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue

Here in Ask Fedora, we can move posts from one account to another (IIRC), though. CC: @mattdm

the only thing we can do here is transfer and delete:

  • All topics, posts, messages and other content created by old to new one

In this case, the “_” was a problem on the FAS side, so that account is dead. I’ll merge those now. I can’t change the FAS email, but you should be able to add a second email here.

That will be perfect, I don’t need much more as I only use my Fedora
account to access Ask!
I would appreciate if you can merge all my old account posts with my new
account.
Regards,
Stéphane

That should be the state it is in now. Let us know of there are further problems.
