"Oops, there seems to be a problem in a component..."

If I close an application I get the annoying message in the subject line. It pops up randomly whether there has been an issue or not. Over it.

That means something crashed. You can click on it or open Problem Reporting to see what crashed and report it. This is not a Common Issue, moving to a different category.

But nothing did crash. At least not visibly.

You can use journalctl to see the logs and attempt to find out what caused that message. The fact that the crash is not readily apparent does not mean one did not occur. Something triggered that message and it is up to the user to find out what the cause was by digging into all the resources available to track it down.

Thank you, I’ll do that.
