Hi Everyone,
I am running Fedora36 as guest in virtual machine which i use to connect to my company’s vpn and use RDP to connect to the windows xp pc.
I want to share my host machine folder directly to the VPN connected RDP machine, my host machine folder is mounted in the Fedora36 and i can read/write and change everything in the shared drive but when i connect to VPN and try to share the host machine folder further through Remmina, it doesn’t show up.
i have even edited the config file as well, also set the path in Remmina GUI settings but there is no way i can share any folder in my VPN connected RDP machine.
Please help!
I’m curious if you are getting SELinux denials for this on the shared path. Try running journalctl -f and while that’s running, attempt to access/write to the shared folder through Remmina and see if you get any messages about it there.

In principle the current version of Remmina shares folders with XP, even is this shared folder is a host folder in a KVM virtual F36 machine on a F36 host. The questions arises: what is the host system, what is the virtualisation software, how is the folder shared and is the VPN located on the host system or within the VM? Understand I correctly that sharing a folder of the F36 VM instead of the host folder does not work too? In principle everything is tunneled within the RDP connection so this should work…
Looks like we can rule out SELinux as a factor. I agree with @hmmsjan that this should be working, unless there’s something funny going on somehow at the hypervisor storage level, though if it got that far with the guest, I would expect it to work.

trying it differently still its not working i.e.
I am running F36 in a oracle VM as guest.
My host OS is Windows 10.
RDP is accessible only through VPN therefore I use Fedora36 as guest to avoid internet disconnection to my Host machine (Win10).
After getting connected to VPN in F36, I use remmina to connect to my RDP (Win XP machine), now instead of sharing my Host (Win10) folder which is accessible in my guest (F36) but not in my RDP, Now for testing I am sharing Fedora36 folder itself in remmina but it is still not showing in the RDP machine (WinXP).
Remmina Version: 1.4.27 (git n/a)
Running on Fedora36 in Oracle VM as guest OS on Windows10 Host Machine.
