When I connect the Note 8 over MTP, it’ll show up in Nautilus but is inaccessible. Clicking on it will result only in turning (waiting) cursor. When connected via PTP (which is also, oddly, recommended way directly in the phone’s menu), I can access the storage, however, coping a big file results in basically frozen desktop due to gvfsd-gphoto2 process slowly eating all memory. I had to kill the gvfsd-gphoto2 process, and also Nautilus for the disk to be quiet. Small file copied without a problem. I was able to switch to a console.
With my other Lenovo phone everything works, and also in the past I was able to connect the same Note 8 all fine.
Do you experience the same problem?
