I am trying to mount a samba share in Fedora 31.
I have done the following:
firewall-cmd --permanent --add-service=samba firewall-cmd --reload
If I try and load the share through Dolphin, by putting this in the address bar:
Internal Error Please send a full bug report at https://bugs.kde.org Unknown error condition in stat: Software caused connection abort
If I try and mount it with:
mount -t cifs -o username=*****,password=****** //192.168.1.254/admin/sharename /mnt/
I get :
mount error(2): No such file or directory Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log messages (dmesg)
CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -2
If I try smbclient:
smbclient //192.168.1.254/admin/sharename -U admin
protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED
I have tried to see if I could see the mount from a machine running Windows 7, and the mount is discovered through the file browser, and I can access it, so I know there isn’t a problem on the smb side.
On Fedora 30, I was able to access the share using the ‘Add Network Folder’ option in Dolphin.
