Uninstall Fedora 36, delete entire partition, and reinstall Fed36

Hello,

In order to have a clean OS for pro beta testing of applications and software, I want to completely uninstall Fedora 36 and delete all data, then reinstall Fed 36.

Can this be done using terminal, such as RPM, Anaconda, or other? Are there 2 or more options for doing the uninstall / delete partition / reinstall Fed 36?

It is not critical that I completely delete the partition this time, but I would like to learn how to do it for the inevitable future need to do it.

Any help would be appreciated

Clinton

Welcome to ask.fedora @clinton2022

While installing with the live iso, you have the possibility to reclaim used space.
This will remove all your data.

Otherwise, please be more specific what exactly do you want to learn/achieve?

How to do a backup or how to reformat/partitioning a hard-drive etc ?

Uninstall Fedora 36 and reinstall it. I want all of the app and personal data deleted in the process

Then go for this … it will remove all your date if you reclaim the used space.

How ? How how how how ???
Uninstall Fedora 36 and reinstall it ?
HOW?

Restart your system with the live Iso … select Install on hard drive.
The system tells you that there is an existing installation and there you can say reclaim full or all space. This will remove your data and reinstall Fedora over it again.

There is a dual boot of Windows 10 and Fedora 36. I will try it. The only thing I know to do is use boot manager.

So we do need more information then.

Do you want to remove Windows10?
Do you want just to reinstall Fedora 36

First please make a inxi -Fzx in your terminal and post the output as pre formatted </> text here.

Fedora Linux User Documentation :: Fedora Docs

BASH needed for me to install inxi, which I did. Command -Fzx resulted in a list of system info and specifications, including Drives, Partitions, etc…

Yes, please cut and past this list here. Please use the </> option to past it. So we have it nice formatted to see how your system looks.

As I do understand, you not have a Live USB yet?
To create one install:

sudo dnf install mediawriter
and create a live usb to install afterwards.

You still not confirmed if you want a dual-boot system or if you want totally start over and just have a Fedora 36 installation ?!

The original USB flash which I used to install Fedora is right here by me now.

I want to keep my dual boot, just reinstall Fedora 36.

If I understand right, I should be able to restart my computer and the UEFFI should recognize the USB flash drive. Correct?
