Use GNOME Classic with Wayland

Is it possible to use GNOME Classic with Wayland? I understand that GNOME Classic is just a GNOME Shell session with specific extensions pre-installed, but logging in with GNOME Classic utilizes Xorg instead of Wayland. I would like to use Wayland instead.

I am offered: Gnome, Gnome classic, Gnome under Xorg on Fedo32 KDE, but nothing more.

my hunch is that one would not wish to use Gnome/Wayland right now…

Try this, but I don’t know if you will have problems .

Make sure WaylandEnable equal true in /etc/gdm/custom.conf or comment the line that contains “WaylandEnable=”

sudo cp /usr/share/xsessions/gnome-classic.desktop /usr/share/wayland-sessions/

(google translate)

That did it, thanks!
